This page explains how Routiq uses information from romotiq.xyz, the Romotiq plugin for Claude Code, add-on purchases and the earlier beta application form.
What we collect
Your email address, plus your name and what you want to make if you choose to provide them. We also record when you applied, the consent notice you saw, and the review status of your application. If you opt in separately to product emails, we record that choice and its notice version and date.
Why we collect it
To review applications, decide who to invite, contact you about the beta and arrange the next steps. Applying does not subscribe you to a general marketing newsletter. The optional product-email checkbox gives permission for Romotiq tips, updates and offers, including a getting-started series if you are invited. Declining does not affect your application.
Where it goes
Application information is stored in the website’s hosted database. Supabase stores new applications and provides administrator authentication. Vercel hosts the website and its server endpoints. Access to the approval queue is restricted to the authorised Routiq administrator. Earlier applications were stored through OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare; a restricted legacy copy is retained during migration. Opted-in product-email delivery uses Resend, which also delivers the factual thank-you email after an application. Application-only consent is not converted to marketing consent. Your chosen goal personalises the optional tips. We record invitations and any setup, export or feedback progress you report to Daniel, plus email delivery, bounce, complaint and unsubscribe records. We do not infer use of the app from email clicks. Optional product emails may include a small image that records an approximate open signal. Mailbox privacy tools and blocked images can make this inaccurate, so it is treated as an estimate. The factual application receipt does not use open or click tracking.
Website operation
The form uses a short-lived, hashed network identifier to limit repeated submissions. The application database does not store your raw IP address. Hosting providers may process standard request logs as part of operating the service. The website uses PostHog to count page views and clicks, such as copying the install line. It sets no cookies, keeps nothing on your device and never records your screen, and there are no advertising pixels. PostHog receives your IP address with each request, as any website does, and uses it to estimate your country.
Install steps by email
On a phone, where Romotiq cannot be installed, the install box offers to email you the install steps. We keep the address you give with the beta list, record that you asked and when, and send that one email with Resend, at most once a day. It does not sign you up for product emails or anything else, and the same hashed network identifier limits repeated requests.
The Claude Code plugin
Romotiq edits your clips on your own computer. Your clips, your words, your reels, your brand and your file names never leave it. The plugin sends an anonymous usage ping to PostHog on its first run and when a reel is started, rendered, checked or fails: the step, the plugin version, your operating system and numbers such as how long a render took, with a random id that ties one computer’s pings together. It never includes your name or email. We keep these pings for up to 12 months. To turn them off, ask Claude to turn off Romotiq’s telemetry, or set ROMOTIQ_TELEMETRY=0 or DO_NOT_TRACK=1. The plugin also fetches the open-source tools it needs, as its README lists.
Add-on purchases
Stripe takes your payment; we never see your card. Stripe tells us your email, the pack, the amount and the checkout, and we keep that record while you own the pack, so you can download it again and so refunds work, and for as long as tax law requires. We email your key with Resend. When the plugin activates a computer, it sends a hash of that computer’s hardware id (never the id itself) and the plugin version, so one purchase works on up to three of your computers; we store only digests of your key and install token. A purchase started from inside Claude links the checkout to your computer with a one-time secret that works once, within a day. Pack downloads are links that expire after five minutes.
Your choice
You can ask to withdraw your application, or have your application, install-steps, purchase or activation details removed, by emailing daniel@romotion.xyz. Please use the address you applied with so we can identify your request. You can also withdraw product-email consent without withdrawing your application. Product emails include an unsubscribe option that works without signing in. We retain a minimal suppression record to prevent accidentally re-subscribing an opted-out address.
